CARO's Projects
Since its beginnings in
2000, CARO has contributed to the following initiatives:
- Support for the salaries
of child care workers at the Leaganul de Copii (Children's State Orphanage)
Medias, Romania.
- Equipment and child
development teaching tools for Leaganul de Copii (Children's State Orphanage)
and children in and around Medias.
- Pilot project to fund
the salary costs of a child Psychologist in conjunction with
CARITAS Romania Confederation. Caritas Romania Confedaration is a member
of Caritas Internationalis,
one of the world’s largest humanitarian networks.
- Funding of basic food,
clothing and shelter for approximately 50 children at the Tega-Wende Orphanage
in Yako, Burkina Faso, West Africa.
- Funding of soap making
equipment in Yako, West Africa for the sale of soap to help fund the orphanage.
- Coordination and facilitation
of professional support to assist child care workers in other countries
and of speakers in Canada about the plight and circumstances of all children
in the World.
